The Overgrowth Vest was inspired by the quiet decay of The Last of Us universe, where nature slowly reclaims everything left behind.
The fungal growth surrounding the neckline was designed to feel invasive, almost alive, while the dagger beneath it represents resistance buried underneath the infection. On the back, the guitar acts as the emotional center of the piece, referencing Ellie’s connection to memory, survival, and loss.
The graphics were intentionally placed to spread unevenly across the garment, giving the vest a worn, overgrown feel instead of a clean commercial print.
